Disposable Manufacturing

Starting with a disposable bioreactor system, a truly flexible manufacturing process can be envisaged. Reduced cleaning validation and removal of cross contamination risk, makes manufacturing Kg scale product for clinical trials / high yield reduction a reality.

Through zeta AG, we offer complete disposable bioreactor systems ranging from 2l to 1,850l working volume. The disposable reactor is delivered complete with a novel agitator (vibro mixer), filters (feed and vent), addition ports, and sampling ports. The use of disposable sensors for pH, DO, and temperature allows the whole assembly to be delivered presterilised by gamma irradiation. A controller with pumps and process control with full SCADA control system completes the process control package.

Downstream sampling and processing is complemented by the Meissner DPS™ (Disposable Processing System) for media, buffer feeds, broth harvesting, and in-process storage. DPS™ systems from 5l to 2,000l are delivered pre-configured with ports, tubing, and filter. They are also supplied pre-sterilised by gamma irradiation. Full validation packages and OQ, PQ support allows the start-up or established manufacturer to get product to market fast.
