Capillary GC columns can be broadly classified into 3 types as follows:- Bonded and Crosslinked Capillary Columns
- Non-Bonded Capillary Columns
- PLOT / Gas Solid Phase Columns
Bonded and Crosslinked Capillary Columns GC Columns are Crosslinked and Bonded and are solvent rinsable. They are further divided by Phase Chemistry, Polarity etc.
Non-Bonded Capillary Columns are not Bonded or Crosslinked and are Capillary equivalents to Classic Packed Column Phases.The Agilent HP-Chiral B column for Chiral GC is also non-bonded. We do not recommend rinsing these columns with solvents.
PLOT / Gas Solid Phase Capillary Columns are Porous Layer Open Tubular (PLOT) or Porous Polymer Columns for the separation of light hydrocarbons, permanent and suplhur gases.
